Vehicle Inspection for Uber & Lyft Drivers in Arkansas
It’s no secret that the biggest hurdle that prevents RideShare drivers in Arkansas from completing their driver application is the vehicle inspection. If you have ever had to get an inspection for your vehicle, then you know how painful the process can be. The problem is not that passing the inspection is necessarily a difficult thing to do – in fact the vast majority of drivers keep their cars in a condition that would easily pass. The difficulty is in actually taking your car to a mechanic to get the inspection completed.
Let’s elaborate on this process a bit. To get a vehicle inspection done today, most drivers have to:
- Drive to a local mechanic
- Go during normal business hours (maybe even take time off work to make it during that time!)
- Spend time getting there (perhaps get stuck in traffic)
- Spend a lot of time waiting at the mechanic
- Consume gas to get there
- Fear that the mechanic will suggest a bunch of “repairs” that will cost hundreds of dollars
Of course, some of those items may or may not relate to your situation. Regardless, it’s easy to see why the vehicle inspection introduces some friction to the driver onboarding process.
But… the reality is that today, you do not have to do any of the steps above anymore for your Arkansas inspection! There is an option that leverages technology to remove the friction of the RideShare vehicle inspection. This option is RideShare Mechanic, which is a virtual vehicle inspection service that conducts your inspection during a remote video chat session.
