The Strapped For Cash Survival Guide – Day 10: Four random ways that you can earn some extra money

We’re finally at the end of the list, which means we’re almost finished covering all of the ways that anyone can earn some extra money. We’ve covered things like getting money back from the state or the government, investing into different things, using and improving some skills you might already have to make some extra money from them, and even rating pizzas, which is something that a lot of people might not have realized.

To finish off the series, here are four last ways that anyone can earn money, with a little effort.

Return printer cartridges

This is an old side job, but it still works, especially if you have friends and family with their own printers. Gather all of the empty printer cartridges you can find, and take them to office supply stores to get some rewards.

Lose weight to earn money

It turns out that there is another reason why you might want to start going to the gym and exercising regularly. All you need to do is sign up for HealthyWage, and then you can start making money by shedding any unwanted pounds. Just define your goal weight and a timeline for you to achieve that weight, and then place a bet, and if you keep it up, you can win up to $10,000.

Start a blog

If you have a skill telling stories to other people and don’t mind having strangers read about your life on public platforms, then you should start a blog. All you need to do is get started on one of the many free blogging platforms, such as WordPress, Blogger, or Tumblr, pick a blogging topic that you understand and are passionate about, and start writing. After a while, you’re going to get a consistent and sizable audience. You can start making money from your blog through ad networks like Google AdSense, or even through affiliate marketing, which is a point that we already mentioned in the series.

Run a virtual storefront

If you’re a crafty person, you can open up a virtual storefront on websites like CafePress or Zazzle, where you can make the products that people have ordered, and there’s no need to make any more than the number of orders you already have. In fact, these platforms take care of the production as well, as long as you supply the designs.

Become an online travel agent

The final entry to our list is for anyone with a strong case of wanderlust. You can finally use all of the time you’ve spent on Expedia and start earning money as an online travel agent. You can find job opportunities on both Indeed and Upwork for jobs that are both part-time and full time, and make some serious money from this.

We’re finally done, and now you know all of the possible ways to take advantage of your time, skills, or even things that you own to make some extra money. You can also combine several of the options throughout the series to really maximize your profits, and you can even end up with a good side-job if you’re really persistent and passionate about some of the things we’ve mentioned throughout these lists.
